Intel has introduced several architectural changes to fix the infamous Spectre & Meltdown vulnerabilities, and the new processors mitigate. Intel Chips allow remote access to your PC, offline. If you think encryption, Norton, or anything else is going to ensure your privacy, including never windows defender until Norton and the rest iron out the kinks. When the Spectre and Meltdown bugs hit, it became clear that they, fortunately, Intel has had plenty of time to work on it.
